Greek Inspired Baby Shower Party Ideas

Greek Baby Shower Party Ideas

In Greece, the new moms and their babies don’t leave their houses for 40 days after the birth to let the baby’s immune system strengthen. This would be good to keep that in mind when planning a Greek baby shower for a friend of Greek ancestry. Also, she may prefer to have the shower after the birth, instead.

The color scheme for a Greek party generally includes white and blue – the colors of the Greek flag. Accents of gold go really well with the blue and white color scheme. Below are some of the more popular themes for a Greek inspired party.

  • Toga Party
  • Greek Gods
  • My Big Fat Greek Baby Shower
  • Momma Mia!
  • Percy Jackson
  • Olympics
  • Greek Mythology

Make Greek Pots from garden store clay pots with a sharpie. Whether you make or rent your party pillar, remember… if you need a little extra color, dress them with laurel, olive or grape leaves. Mom always deserves a seat of honor at the party!

Get cheap plastic bowls, goblets, and vases at the dollar store and paint them gold. As an option you could use white or blue.

Love this! Would be fantastic as an entrance to the party, behind the food table, or on a blank wall as a photo backdrop.

Gotta have some columns – make some!

Tape 2 poster boards end to end on the inside w/ packing tape. Roll into a cylinder & tape. Add 9″ and 12″ pizza boxes on top & bottom. Nearly 6’tall & Lightweight. Add a box to bottom covered in white paper for taller columns.
