Holding a Holiday Baby Shower
The Holidays are a wonderful time of the year. So the possibilities for holding a Holiday baby shower are only bound by your imagination. That is where we come in! It is never too early to start planning! Help the new mom by giving her a head start on getting ideas for new holiday traditions that her family will remember and look forward to for years to come.
Fill your party with holiday spirit and make it….
Our goal is to give you decorating tips, recipe ideas, and even game prizes for holding an absolutely fantastic holiday baby shower that your guests will rave about for years to come. I advocate doing as much as you can yourself, but don’t be afraid to outsource to caterers or even your friends if you need to. There is nothing wrong in spreading around the love!
The normal colors one would choose for a Holiday baby shower are red, white, and green, but who says you have to do use “normal” colors. Don’t let the season dictate how you decorate. Your decorations can be anything from paper streamers and pom poms to elegantly displayed crafts and decorations. It is all up to your budget. Most of the ideas presented in this article will be things you can either make yourself or purchase inexpensively.
Let’s start with some great decorating ideas. These are few of the ideas I posted on Pinterest. If you would like to see more, please follow my Baby Shower Ideas Boards.

As this is a Holiday baby shower, may I suggest a departure from the regular party food, and go with something a little more suited for the time of year? Download any one of these incredible holiday recipes for a fantastic addition to your party meal plan. Can you say, O-M-G!
So, we have covered the food, the decorations, and table ideas… all that’s left is the games! Holiday baby shower games are the best! There are so many to choose from, so I am listing my favorite links below…
Don’t forget the game prizes and invitations. Invitations can be found locally at any party or card store, or you can make your own. When purchasing invitations, I also like to go ahead and make or buy thank you cards for the new mom to send to the guests after the party – thanking them for the wonderful day and all their gifts.
As for game prizes, you can go big and splashy or down home and do it yourself. Your prizes can be homemade or purchased candy treats or small ornaments to match the occasion, or perhaps you want to give some of the decorations you made for party. All are cool ideas for game prizes. Here is a tutorial for making ornaments that would make excellent game prizes or party favors. Your friends and family will hang them on their Christmas trees for years to come. And, every time they do, they will remember the fantastic time they had at your party.
We hope you have a wonderful baby shower, and that you get tons of compliments!
